A campaign to redesign look of Free Software Foundation (fsf) was the topic me and my two teammates were assigned to.
As part of our research, we explored the fsf website. We liked the stick figure images but overall we felt that the website is not conveying what the free software movement is all about. We wanted fsf and its brand - linux to look modern and most importantly appeal to young people who are not willing to pay for expensive softwares. We wanted to convey message to our audience that - here is this movement which you can be part of and which gives you access to many free useful softwares.
For the modern look, we wanted to use the metallic feel so we decided to go with the grey color and to get the metallic, sleek look we decided to use the gradient.
All the three of us love the wireless logo and we wanted to incorporate that in our new fsf logo to symbolize freedom- freedoms to use a software, modify it and distrubute it. After several designs, we decided to just the letter 'F.'
We also decided this logo would be used for free stickers, banners.
As the complete package, we decide T-shirts, banner ads and stationary. This pdf contains the entire process not just the final selections.
These ads were created for a class project based on NYC. I choose Million Trees NYC campaign. Under this campaign, the city plans to plant one million tress by 2010 across the five boroughs. An encouraging effort to increase green around us.
My first shot at editing on final cut.
Impromptu flash banner class exercise in the interactive class.
This is my first exercise ever in After Effects. It was created for my motion design class.
